CHIEF OF STAFF | DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS | ESTATE MANAGER | RELATIONSHIP MANAGER | EXECUTIVE & PERSONAL ASSISTANT
Operations leader with eighteen years across engineering, legal, technology, and commercial real estate — building the operating foundation that allows family offices and principals to scale with confidence.
A family office is growing faster than its operating foundation, residential properties require genuine oversight rather than periodic attention, and the structure holding it together lives largely in the heads of the people running it. I build the foundation underneath that, and I do it while the office continues to operate.
Departmental management carrying team, budget, and contract responsibility — roughly 100 competitive pursuits per year at values reaching $1B, with teams of up to 50 across 18 global offices.
Sitting beside principals — most recently across a large, multi-generational family office and its residential properties, building infrastructure durable enough to survive succession.
Documented procedures, written policy for repeated decisions, a coordinating seam across outside advisors, and infrastructure durable enough to survive succession.
Trusted intermediary between principals and their advisor networks, including wealth advisors, tax teams, accountants, bankers, and counsel. Sustain durable relationships across the C-suite, UHNW investors, clients, and multi-generational family members, translating priorities between parties and preserving trust in high-stakes exchanges.
Documented infrastructure that keeps operations running independent of any one individual, including centralized records, credentialed access, asset registers, and standard operating procedures. Team-level succession and cross-training within a three-generation enterprise.
Project frameworks with milestones, RACI charts, KPI reporting, leadership dashboards, budget and schedule control, and PMP training.
Multi-property coordination, whole-home renovation, generator and security installation, road and drainage work with government entitlement coordination, preventative maintenance, and vendor management.
Roles and reporting structures, hiring and onboarding, succession planning, HR systems implementation, PEO and insurance transitions, and compliance calendar ownership.
SOP design, knowledge management systems, SharePoint architecture, records digitization, credential governance with two-factor security, asset registers, and policy design.
QuickBooks Desktop and Online, reconciliation, bill pay, invoicing, expense tracking, budget alignment across individuals, entities, and properties, and coordination of outside accounting teams.
Agentic AI workflow design, automated alerting and briefing systems, SharePoint, Workday, ADP, Asana, Smartsheet, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, and DocuSign.
Houston, Texas | June 2025 – Present
Support the Executive Chairman and Founder of a national commercial real estate firm across the operating business and a multi-generational single-family office spanning three generations. Described by the principal as the hub of the family office. Recipient of the Transwestern Impact Award.
Centralized files, contacts, and credentials under two-factor governance; established a SharePoint architecture built for retrieval; digitized the physical archive; created the asset database that had not previously existed. Manage ~200 monthly meetings and thousands of emails.
Coordinated capital projects across multiple estates including whole-home renovation, generator installation, pool remodel, door and roof replacements, camera and alarm systems, and road and drainage work requiring boundary rights and permitted use approvals with government entities.
Implemented a charitable giving policy with donor-advised fund structure and approval form, and a tiered holiday gifting policy with group ordering for Transwestern, so recurring decisions no longer require case-by-case adjudication.
Designed and built agentic AI workflows including an automated email alert system and a daily generated briefing for the principal. A family office dashboard and estate management app are currently in development.
Houston, Texas | March 2018 – June 2025
Partnered with the founder-CEO of a growing technology services company for seven years across the full operating business while carrying the executive support function. Directed company-wide operations across human resources, finance, marketing, and business development, functioning as the connective tissue between technical teams, clients, and leadership.
Owned financial administration end-to-end in QuickBooks Desktop across seven years, covering reconciliation, bill pay, invoicing, expense tracking, and management reporting. Implemented and maintained the business operating systems used for executive decision-making, ensuring reporting accuracy and a single source of record.
Negotiated and managed vendor relationships and contracts, securing favorable terms. Led the office relocation from site selection and construction through occupancy. Orchestrated leadership meetings, quarterly strategy sessions, and client events from concept and budget through execution.
Houston, Texas | August 2012 – March 2018
Held departmental leadership within a global law firm of fourteen international offices, supporting the C-suite and Managing Partner while owning firm-wide process, brand, and business development infrastructure. Directed a six-person team with oversight extending to 50+ staff across all offices, carrying hiring, training, performance, and succession responsibility along with budget oversight and contract negotiation authority.
Identified and delivered a firm-wide knowledge management system spanning every department, practice, and office. Finding no product capable of what the firm required, partnered with a technology company to build a custom platform now used by more than half of the AmLaw100.
Oversaw a website overhaul involving all 700 partners and all departments/offices. Delivered on time and under budget.
Deployed internationally on seven occasions to London, Brussels, and Dubai, working directly with ultra-high-net-worth individuals and high-profile public officials.
February 2008 – October 2011
Managed approximately 100 competitive pursuits per year at values reaching $1B, coordinating pursuit teams of up to 50 people across 18 global offices with five direct reports, while owning the quality standard for the proposal process itself.
October 2011 – August 2012
Rebuilt the proposal department for a Norwegian engineering and construction firm with four direct reports, modernizing process, content, and templates and establishing cross-office integration with Norwegian leadership and Japanese joint venture partners.
Four years inside engineering, procurement, and construction firms gave working familiarity with scope definition, estimating, contracts, and schedule — expertise later applied to residential estate coordination, including regulatory and entitlement work with government entities.
From my Houston base, I have supported people and operations nationally and internationally with for eighteen years — from 14 international offices at Baker Botts to my current principals and advisors set spanning multiple time zones. Remote is the condition I have always worked in, not an accommodation.
I am aware of the tension in being called the hub of an office while being asked to design out key-person dependency. My answer is that I document relentlessly, because my goal is for a principal, their successor, and/or the next person in my seat to reach what he/she needs with ease. That is what makes an office seamless, and it is what makes succession survivable.

"Thank you, Christine, for bringing organization and order to our Family Office, but most of all, for the compassion and caring you show for each of us."
— Current Principal
"What an outstanding job Christine has done for me on the [confidential panel proposal]. She has been terrifically thorough, pragmatic, and responsive. Her skill with the platform we used and common sense approach to answering some not-so-normal questions for a law firm were particularly impressive. Her deft management of others (including others well above her pay grade) was also exceptional. Her work exceeded expectations. ... she rocked."
— Senior Partner, Practice Chair
"Thank you... for assistance beyond the call of duty, in every respect first class. You're a great firm asset, and I very much appreciate all you do."
